About Us

Introduction:

Zenith Educational Foundation is an autonomous organisation registered under the Public Trust Act, Govt. of West Bengal (Registration No. IV-190201258/2019). We are also an ISO 9001:2015 certified institute, committed to providing quality, structured, and student-centred education. Since our establishment, we have aimed to create an inclusive learning environment that nurtures confidence, curiosity, and character in every learner.

Our Vision:

Established in 2019, Zenith Educational Foundation envisions offering high-quality and value-based education, especially to learners from rural and semi-urban backgrounds. In alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, our institution emphasizes a holistic, skill-focused, and experiential approach to learning. We believe that a child learns best when education is delivered in a language they understand, especially during the foundational years.

NEP 2020 stresses the importance of mother tongue or home language as the medium of instruction at least up to Grade 5, and preferably till Grade 8. At Zenith, we follow this vision wholeheartedly by introducing core concepts in the mother tongue while gradually strengthening English as a global communication tool. This bilingual approach helps children grasp concepts faster, build strong cognitive foundations, and develop confidence in both languages.

Language Development & Importance of Mother Tongue:

Research in early childhood education—and NEP 2020 guidelines—highlight that children go through several natural language development stages. During these stages, the mother tongue plays a critical role in:

  • Strengthening cognitive development by allowing children to think freely without language barriers.
  • Building strong foundational literacy and numeracy through familiar sounds, words, and expressions.
  • Enhancing social and emotional growth as the child learns in a comfortable and culturally relevant environment.
  • Boosting learning outcomes because conceptual clarity forms faster in the home language.
  • Encouraging multilingualism naturally, as NEP 2020 promotes India’s rich linguistic diversity.

At Zenith, we follow these principles by ensuring joyful, interactive, and child-friendly learning experiences. Our teaching methods focus on building a strong foundation in mother-tongue literacy, complemented by gradual exposure to English through stories, activities, and real-life communication.

Aims and Objectives:

Our primary objective is to narrow the educational gap between rural and urban areas so that every child—regardless of background—can access high-quality and meaningful education. We aim to empower students with academic excellence, moral values, digital literacy, and life skills that prepare them for future challenges.

Guided by NEP 2020, we focus on:

  • Delivering competency-based and experiential learning.
  • Encouraging creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
  • Incorporating vocational, digital, and computer education into the mainstream curriculum.
  • Providing inclusive, affordable, and equitable education for all students.
  • Creating a joyful learning environment where every child feels safe, valued, and encouraged to succeed.

Through our dedicated teachers, innovative pedagogy, and student-friendly environment, Zenith Educational Foundation continues to uphold its commitment to shaping confident, responsible, and future-ready citizens.

From the Principal's Desk

Principal

Mr. SOMEN ROY

B.A (Hons), M.A, B.Ed

At Zenith Model High School, we are committed to fostering a nurturing and stimulating learning environment where every child is empowered to reach their fullest potential. In alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, our institution strives to provide a holistic education that focuses not only on academic excellence, but also on the emotional, social, and ethical development of each learner.

NEP 2020 strongly endorses teaching in the mother tongue or home language during the formative years, as it plays a vital role in strengthening conceptual understanding, building confidence, and enhancing foundational literacy and numeracy. At Zenith, we have adopted this approach by ensuring that early learning is connected to children’s cultural and linguistic backgrounds. This helps them develop naturally, think freely, and express themselves confidently while gradually acquiring proficiency in English as a global language.

We believe that education should be a joyful experience—one where curiosity is encouraged, creativity is celebrated, and every learner feels supported. Our dedicated team of teachers works tirelessly to create an engaging classroom environment enriched with activity-based learning, digital tools, value education, and essential life skills. We are committed to developing critical thinkers, problem-solvers, and responsible citizens who are equipped to thrive in the rapidly changing world.

As the Principal, I firmly believe that a school’s success is built upon strong collaboration among teachers, parents, students, and the community. Together, let us guide our children towards a future where they are confident, compassionate, and capable of achieving their dreams.

With warm regards,
